Scott is a third generation Montanan who grew up in Billings. He graduated with a degree in accounting from MSU Billings in 1997, and was licensed as a CPA in 2000. Scott graduated from the UM School of Law in 2004 and has practiced law ever since. Scott spent 12 years as a prosecutor working in child abuse and neglect cases. Scott and Lucy worked together for years at the Child Protection Unit and is coming to Hansen Law Practice with a great deal of courtroom and trial experience, and with a well-developed understanding of the difficulties that families face in their day-to-day-lives. Scott has also spent time as a Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglected children, as well as a criminal prosecutor. He understands the gravity of helping people through some of the most difficult times they will face, and he approaches each case with the seriousness and thoughtfulness he would want for his own family. Scott is married and the father of two children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family in this great state he calls home.
